We are Deniz & Guniz, formerly known as “Objects of Our Lives” from 10 Hulfish St., Palmer Square in Princeton, NJ. Here, we’re kindly inviting you to our online pop-up store that will be running for the next 3 months. In the process of curating this online pop-up store, we’ve collaborated with our favorite local artists and artisans we met during our travels. We simply aspired to bring together exquisite, unique and authentic home design objects, dinnerware and gift items for you that are mostly hand-made in Turkey, and more specifically in the historic Aegean town of Urla where we are currently visiting, alongside the city of Istanbul.

On this second round of our online pop-up event, we’d like to feature Neslihan Algunerhan, a textile designer from Istanbul. Having received her Fine Arts degree with the emphasis on Traditional Turkish hand-crafts, as well as handprints in carpets and rugs, Neslihan further mastered serigraphy techniques with renowned artists in Istanbul. Her utmost inspiration comes from the culmination of patterns, colours, photography, drawings and paintings and most importantly, the mother nature. In her unique creations of home textiles such as tablecloths, runners, napkins, and pillows, she revisits the traditional patterns and reinterprets them by applying natural paint-print techniques that are rarely used in the modern world.
